General Prattling
As you might notice, this week’s post is a bit different from my usual recipe fare. Instead of just one dish, I’m serving up a whole buffet of excellent carnivore breakfast options that I’ve carefully developed over the years (okay, most of them were whipped up last year and this year, inspired by my own carnivore journey and, let’s be honest, my love for eating the delicious results!).
Now, about my week. I just got back from the enchanting land of Scotland, where I spent a week mostly in Glasgow. I even squeezed in a day trip to Edinburgh by bus. Edinburgh was fantastic, with its stunning old buildings and ample Christmas decorations, though I was surprised by the bustling crowds in the streets.
Scotland is obsessed with Highland cattle. They had Highland cow hats, paintings, clothes, and naturally soft toys. It was hilarious because, back in Finland, I’m the lone ranger making and selling Highland cattle tallow on the regular. Seeing them everywhere in Scotland felt oddly familiar, like running into old friends everywhere I turned!
But, here’s the highlight of my week: I had the best steak of my life at a restaurant called The Butchershop in Glasgow! This ribeye was so good, it nearly brought me to tears. With melt-in-the-mouth bone marrow and blue cheese butter, the meal was absolutely perfect, satisfying, and simply beyond divine!
