What is Frappucino?
Frappuccino is a trademarked line of blended coffee beverages sold by Starbucks. These drinks are typically made with a coffee or crème base, blended with ice and various flavors and syrups, and topped with whipped cream and other toppings. Frappuccinos are available in various flavors and can be customized to suit individual preferences.
However, Starbucks doesn’t have a keto Frappucino — let alone a clean keto Frappucino — so you have to whip up your own. Luckily, it’s super easy, as you’ll see in this post. Plus, you can prepare the drink in the comfort of your own home — there is no need to go anywhere!
How to Make Keto Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino?
You’ll need only 5 ingredients for this fabulous Frappucino: cold strong coffee, heavy cream or coconut cream, raw cocoa powder, caramel-flavored monk fruit drops, and ice cubes.
Preparing this keto Frappucino is straightforward; you’ll just blend all ingredients in a blender until slushy and frothy, and that’s it!
Well, I recommend blending first all other ingredients quickly except ice cubes and then adding the ice cubes and blending until frothy. Like that, you are guaranteed to get a well-combined and smooth result.
So, let’s take a closer look at how to prepare this refreshing ice-cold drink:
Take 1/2 cup (120 ml) of cold strong coffee (or 1/2 cup = 120 ml of water + 1—2 teaspoons of instant espresso) and pour it into a blender jar.
Add 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream or coconut cream…
…1 tablespoon raw cocoa powder…
…and 20 drops (or to taste) caramel-flavored monk fruit drops.
Close the lid tightly.
Blend for a few seconds until well combined.
Add 1 cup (240 ml) of ice cubes.
Close the lid and blend until frothy.
Pour into a serving glass.
Serve immediately.
So good, so refreshing — and so simple!
How I Came up with This Easy Keto Drink Recipe
I love keto drinks, hot and cold alike, but I think I favor cold drinks a bit more. They are incredibly easy to make, and the result is (usually) delicious and satisfying. Actually, almost 10 years ago, I wrote my first ever ebook, and it was about keto drink recipes!
There is always a need for sugar-free drink recipes. Therefore, I thought it’s about time to post a refreshing, ice-cold summer drink. It didn’t take long to realize a keto version of Frappucino would be just a perfect drink for summer. It sure is refreshing with all that icy slushiness and caffeine from coffee.
I started pondering over the ingredients. Cold coffee for sure, and ice cubes to make the drink frothy and thick. Many keto drinks use almond milk, but as I avoid oxalates, I wanted to use something else. Almonds — and thus almond milk — are pretty high in oxalates.
Since I’m following quite an animal-based diet, I decided to use heavy cream. I love coffee with heavy cream! The combination of cream and coffee is truly indulgent. Plus, you’ll get lots of energy from cream and coffee. (I’m not talking about calories now).
To maximize the indulgence, I decided to use caramel-flavored monk fruit drops in my drink. I would get a sweet taste and caramel flavor all in one, I thought.
And that’s not all: I wanted to make my Frappucino chocolatey! Therefore, I wanted to add some raw cocoa powder to lend the decadent chocolate taste. Creamy Keto Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino sounded fantastic!
After deciding the measures, I was ready to prepare my drink and take photos of the progress. The result was successful and even tastier than I had dreamed. This rich, creamy chocolate and caramel-flavored Frappucino was to die for!
It was pure indulgence in every sip! The chocolate, cream, and caramel were pampering my taste buds, while the chilly ice and coffee lent a refreshing kick that lingered long in my body and mind.
Here’s the recipe for you to enjoy:

Tips for Variations
Feel free to decorate the Frappucino with whipped cream or with whipped coconut cream for a dairy-free version. I made this recipe without whipped cream, but the next version, I’m going to decorate with ample cream!
Even though the drink is very tasty and satisfying, here are a few variations on Keto Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino for your enjoyment:
- Mexican Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino: To make a Mexican chocolate version of this Frappuccino, simply add a tiny pinch of Chipotle and 1 teaspoon of Ceylon cinnamon to the blender along with the other ingredients. You can also use a scoop of chocolate whey protein powder or egg white protein powder instead of cocoa powder to boost flavor and nutrition.
- Peanut Butter Caramel Frappuccino: For a nutty twist on this Frappuccino, add 1—2 tablespoons of all-natural unsweetened peanut butter to the blender along with the other ingredients. You can also sprinkle chopped peanuts on top for added crunch.
- Mint Chocolate Chip Caramel Frappuccino: To make a minty version of this Frappuccino, add 2 drops (not more!) of pure peppermint oil to the blender along with the other ingredients. You can also stir in some extra dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs for added texture and flavor.
- Salted Caramel Frappuccino: For a salty-sweet twist on this Frappuccino, sprinkle a pinch of salt flakes on top of the drink. If you ever make this Keto Pumpkin Caramel Sauce, make sure to whip up this Frappucino and drizzle some sauce on it.
- Vanilla Caramel Frappuccino: To make a vanilla and caramel version of this Frappuccino, simply omit the cocoa powder and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla powder to the blender along with the other ingredients. You can also top the drink with vanilla-flavored whipped cream and a sprinkle of Ceylon cinnamon for added flavor.
- Coffee-Free Caramel Frappucino: Naturally, not everyone likes coffee — but I bet everyone loves caramel! To make a coffee-free version, simply omit the coffee and use only water, cream, cocoa powder, and caramel-flavored monk fruit drops for the base.

I’m traveling this week in Riga, Latvia. I came here for a few days for a short visit. The city is stunningly beautiful, well-organized, and clean. I have been walking a lot, eating good food, and spending time in the hotel spa.
Naturally, I’m working every day, but the different environment and accommodation in a hotel make it feel almost like a holiday.
There are so many beautiful old and well-restored buildings in Riga.
Also, the park with a small river through it is picturesque.
And, of course, I have enjoyed good animal-based food.
For all my Finnish readers: I just published an ebook about quick and easy keto recipes in Finnish. “Helpot ja nopeat ketoreseptit” ebook contains 50 easy keto recipes (some of which I have taken from this blog and translated, and some are completely new).

A pretty easy to make, healthy, refreshing drink.
PS. It also looks delicious. How could it not be with cream, chocolate and coffee?

Unbeatable combination, indeed! Thank you for the comment!

Thank you, Elviira! I made this as soon as it hit my inbox. 🙂 I added collagen because I need the protein. I found five drops of the sweetener was enough for me. Thank you for another wonderful and easy recipe!
